I borrowed my mother’s camera when I lived with her during my freshman year of college in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. To keep myself sane, I would drive to nature preserves and take photos of whatever wild life I could find.
Since then, I have become a frequent traveler of state and national parks from Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, Maine to Florida’s Myakka River State Park and Oscar Scherer State Park.

I got asked in my most recent trip if I was a biologist.
I replied, “I’m just a girl with a camera.”
